HAC is socially responsible, we work hard to be an environmentally friendly business and are proud of our community-based initiatives. We hope to build our relationships within our local community and become a Tassie tree advocate that inspires connection with nature for generations to come.

For every 10 trees, Hobart Arbor Co. removes, we donate money to Greening Australia. The donation is in direct support of their re-vegetation work in places like the midlands and the Tasmania Island Ark program. They estimate that with every donation, we contribute to pulling a tonne of carbon out of the atmosphere.

Our first preference is to preserve your tree, but this helps to balance our environmental impact where removal becomes necessary.

Despite the uncertain times, we are still looking forward to celebrating National Tree Day this year. It may look a little different from previous years, so stay tuned for more details in the coming months. Keep an eye on our social channels for all Tree Day news and updates.

We have joined over 1000 Tasmanian’s who are rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty with landcare projects like planting trees, eradicating weeds, building tracks and looking after wildlife. To find out more or to join the gang, click here

We have also registered to be an Extra Hands Volunteer, this means that when there are big projects we are on hand to lend a hand.

We are committed to making a positive difference for our wildlife and landscapes. We know that there is lots of work to be done, and volunteering is one way that we can show our support while connecting with our local community. Volunteering opportunities are listed on our website and Facebook page as events, we invite you to come along and join us. Keep a lookout for volunteer opportunities coming!
