Don’t let the name fool you, Hobart Arbor Co (HAC) offers professional tree services state-wide. Tom has been climbing treetops above Hobart and beyond for over 10 years which means he has local knowledge and understanding of the Tasmanian landscape.  Motivated to merge a career with his love for the great outdoors and the environment, he started out training and working with leading mainland arboriculture companies before coming home to Tassie.

In 2018 Tom created his very own small business as an owner-operator and has never looked back. Establishing himself as a professional, Tom is aware of his humble beginnings and hopes to continue building his business to create more jobs for Tasmanians.

HAC values ethical tree care, sustainability, positive customer relationships, professionalism, and safety.

Our Intention

It is our intention to provide an environmentally conscious, honest, and professional tree care service. Delivering high-quality and safe work, while creating positive customer and community relationships, which build awareness of the value of trees.

Our Values

When you speak to us you can expect honest tree care advice, reliable and friendly service, free non-obligatory quotes, and high-quality work completed at competitive rates.  Highly trained in the art and science of complete tree removal, tree pruning, and shaping, stump removal, tree recycling,  ethical and sustainable practices,  HAC will work with you to safely and effectively achieve your desired outcomes for your landscape.

Dedicated to training, developing new techniques, and staying up to date on the latest equipment means HAC can provide cost and time-effective solutions. With skills and knowledge to prune or remove trees by climbing and dismantling, aerial rigging, or with help from elevated work platforms or cranes. HAC prunes trees to Australian Standards AS 4373 – ‘Pruning of Amenity Trees’ and abides by local council regulations.

We are committed to maintaining the health and integrity of trees. Where we can we prefer to retain your tree and keep it happy, healthy, and alive!.  Although in many residential and commercial areas this can be tricky if the right tree has not been planted in the right place or development is taking place which can mean a complete tree removal is necessary. When you meet us for a free non-obligatory quote we will talk you through the options and suggest a solution to meet your objectives and achieve the desired effect while minimising negative impact. Consideration will be given to what is best for the health and well-being of your tree and garden. We are meticulous in the planning and execution of all jobs, follow safe work practices, and leave your property tidy.
